Instructions
Creating Taco Bell Chicken Quesadilla at home is simple. Just follow these steps:
1. Prepare Chicken: If not using precooked chicken, season the chicken breasts with taco seasoning and cook them in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces once cooled.
2. Heat Skillet: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
3. Layer Ingredients: Place one tortilla in the skillet. Spread approximately ¼ cup of quesadilla sauce over the tortilla.
4. Add Cheese: Sprinkle about ½ cup of shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
5. Add Chicken: Evenly distribute one cup of shredded chicken over the cheese layer.
6. Top it Off: Add another ¼ cup of cheese over the chicken. Drizzle more quesadilla sauce if desired.
7. Finish with Tortilla: Place another tortilla on top to close the quesadilla.
8. Cook Again: Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom tortilla is golden brown and crispy.
9. Flip Quesadilla: Carefully flip the quesadilla and cook for another 3-4 minutes until both sides are golden, and the cheese is melted.
10. Slice and Serve: Remove from the skillet and let it cool for a minute. Cut into wedges with a sharp knife.
11. Garnish and Enjoy: Optionally, sprinkle sliced green onions on top and serve hot with sour cream and salsa.
